Ramanujam, Crystal L., DPM, MSc

Dr. Ramanujam completed her podiatric surgical residency and postgraduate research fellowship at UTHSCSA under the direct mentorship and supervision of Thomas Zgonis, DPM, FACFAS. She also completed a Masters degree in Clinical Investigation and her professional interests include diabetic foot and ankle pathology, resident teaching, and basic science/clinical research. She is actively involved in numerous research projects and clinical trials.

Zgonis, Thomas, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Zgonis is known for his work in foot and ankle reconstruction with circular external fixation. His interests include traumatic foot and ankle injuries, deformity correction, diabetic Charcot reconstruction and soft tissue coverage of the diabetic foot. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics within the Division of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery at UTHSCSA. Dr.

Zelle, Boris A., MD

Dr. Zelle joined the clinical faculty at UTHSCSA in 2011. Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Zelle earned his medical degree from the George-August University of Gottingen School of Medicine. He received postgraduate surgical training at the Department of Trauma Surgery at Hannover Medical School. In 2002, Dr. Zelle moved to the United States and completed a postdoctoral orthopaedic research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
