Dr. Boris A. Zelle, MD publishes article on healthcare disparities in Hispanic trauma patients. In this pilot study, the investigators identified ethnic differences in patients’ perceptions towards orthopaedic injuries. The results of this pilot study will play a crucial role for subsequent clinical investigations in the field of healthcare disparities.

Antonio J. Webb, M.D. PGY4 was selected for a Selby Spine Scholarship and given a scholarship to attend the Selby Spine spine course in Park City Utah.

Dr. Webb was also selected for an AO trauma fellowship and will be completing it in Bangkok, Thailand and was given CHF funding to attend this fellowship.

PGY4 Jason Thompson Presents Research at ORS Southwest Regional Symposium

PGY4 Jason Thompson presented the initial results of his study TKA Outcomes Among Minorities in a VA Population at the Orthopedic Research Southwest Regional Symposium held October 13, 2017 at the Baylor College of Medicine. Joining Dr. Thompson were members of the research team, including medical students Caleb Davis, Jacob Hatch, Veronica Riggs, Ina Prevalska, Aliyah Ali, research coordinator Ventrice Shillingford-Cole, and Roberto Fajardo, Ph.D. (project PI).

All applications must be submitted through SF Match (sfmatch.org). We are currently accepting applications for the 2018 match cycle for fellowships beginning in August 2019.
