Applications are accepted ONLY via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Three letters of recommendation are required and one should be from the chairman or program director of an orthopaedic department. No other documentation is required.
The entire application is reviewed by our Residency Selection Committee. Although we consider every application that we receive, traditionally interviews are extended to those who have superior academic credentials and a well rounded application. Historically most applicants who are invited to interview have Step I Board scores of 220 or higher and are ranked in the top third of their medical school class, although these are not absolute requirements. Approximately 75 applicants are invited to interviews for one of 60 interview slots.
Deadline for application is November 1 and invitations to interview will be sent via email on or about the Monday before Thanksgiving. Interview dates will be posted here when they are available.
